Filename length

Post by jyanendra »

BullZip is perhaps the best PDF printer around (I include both paid and free printers!) for Windows.

However, I seek guidance on this:

No matter what saved document title option I specify, the title is always truncated to 28 characters. Longer titles can be entered manually though.

Is there some hidden setting or registry fix that will enable saving documents with their original long titles/file names without having to enter it manually in the save dialog box?

Using Windows 7 Ultimate.

Regards and thanks in anticipation.

I have had the same problem myself since April last year. A couple of other people have also reported the same issue.

I keep checking updated versions now and then but I don't think this is going to be fixed. Maybe because it's actually bioPDF the make\write the software and this seems to be a reseller version.

Hi,

If you are printing from an Internet browser this may be caused by the browser you are using. Some browsers cut the name of the printing document. There is nothing the PDF printer can do about that. Sorry!

It as indeed an issue with the browser - Firefox.
The new version - 3.6.13 - does not exhibit this problem at all.
Regards and thanks very much.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
