PDF image quality

When using Bullzip to print to PDF, hi-res 300dpi images end up at 72dpi!

Why is this and how do I make it stop?

Are you using the background feature?

What OS are you on?

My OS is Vista and I do not know what the "background feature" is, so I'd guess "No".
